Over the new year, S and I spent our honeymoon in South Korea. This is our first trip together - just the two of us. To me, all airports look the same. They're a place for planes to land and take off.Walking pass the immigration we looked at this...

...to see where our baggage were which we really didn't need to. You see we followed a tour group and we just had to follow the guide. Our first destination, the shooting place of Jewel in The Palace.

The place didn't look as big as the show portrayed. But it felt nice to step into a place you've seen from afar - the TV set. Moving on, our first meal.
Nice hot meal. Chicken, cabbage, cabbage and more cabbage with seaweed soup. Next stop, Nami Island - made famous be Winter Sonata.

Dinner. Grilled squid. I can't remember a time when I ate as much squid in a meal.

The next day was the highlight of our trip. Skiing! Can you see the hill-track on the far left and right of the photo? It's for expert on the left and beginner on the right. We managed to try the beginner one illegally but it was an honest offence. You can ask me when you see me.
We took the cable car up the track. It was piercing cold. My whole being was feeling numbed to the core.
On the third day, we went to Everland. Our very own Genting is no where near this place.

This lion in Everland Safari survive the cold much better than me.
Ginseng chicken for dinner.

Next morning, we visited the 'Blue House' supposedly meant to be the White House of Korea.
Gyeongbokgung Palace. The only reason I remember this place is because i managed to find the entrance ticket still in my handbag.

As every tourism would promote, the museum.

Next stop, the kimchi-making shop. Made by me.

Made by S. He claims his is better-looking.

Not a very appetizing lunch.

We didn't manage to attend a church service. Did I tell you one of our reasons to visit Korea was to step into the church with 150,000 members so I heard. Well at least we took a picture of one in the city. From inside the bus.

Well, that's about it. So will you be going to Korea anytime soon?

I'm back from the big day and honeymoon!

Nothing feels better than to be home and back to my usual schedule - sleep, eat, work, tv etc. I do apologize for the blog hiatus. I will update soon - this week. I promise.
